‘Nuff said.Is this true?
Idiots, it’s not like they flew to Davao at the height of the storm or they flew there to ESCAPE the storm and helping out.
FYI, they came back to Manila to help. You can start by checking Noynoy’s Twitter account.
Here’s another way for you to help (via PayPal or credit card) the victims of Typhoon Ondoy.
Good job, team internet!
*power hug*
A fat slob like me found a way to give a little. YOU won’t have a problem with this. Because you’re awesome.
I’m donating clothes I no longer use. Most of these folks have yet to have a change of clothes. Think about how muddy and gritty their underwear must be.
You can help.
It’s what you should be doing instead of mouthing off mediocre opinions that, though they aren’t counter-progressive, do nothing.
My Ondoy Hate List:
1. Mikey Arroyo - You guys judge way too quick, how are you sure that photo was taken today? Who even took that photo? What if someone was just trying to ruin his reputation because he’s linked to GMA, who now has this reputation of someone who loves to splurge rather than use that money to help the Filipino’s? Ah, I don’t know, but unless there’s proof that that photo was taken today, I’m not having any of it. Besides, who said he even purchased it?I agree with this a hundred percent. Especially with Mikey Arroyo. People judge waay too much. And even if it IS true, he’s not obliged to help. It’s up to him if he wants to. If it’s in his heart. He’s not the one who used up all our funds anyway so as long as he isn’t buying those drinks with our money, let him be.
Did you forget that REPRESENTATIVE Mikey Arroyo is a CONGRESSMAN, therefore, he is an ELECTED PUBLIC SERVANT and that his home district (Pampanga, just in case you didn’t know) is one of the provinces badly affected and hit by Ondoy?
But yeah, whatever. As Ade (noisyman) said: just because he’s an elected official and a presidential son doesn’t mean he has to help while countless civilians are working their butts off.
MANILA, Philippines - A soldier saved 20 people from raging floodwaters during rescue operations but lost his own life when he drowned later in Famy town, Laguna.
Rescuers recovered yesterday the body of Army Private First Class Venancio Ancheta after he was swept away by rushing floodwaters while rescuing residents at the height of storm “Ondoy.”
Ancheta, member of the Alpha Company of the 16th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, was among six rescuers who died while helping flood victims in Laguna.
Troops also recovered the bodies of Army Cpl. Adriano Regua and Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit militiamen Joel Hernalin, Erineo Olaguer, Florencio Dequino, and Pedro Falcon in Barangay Nanguma in Mabitac town, Laguna.
Two more CAFGU militiamen were still missing as of press time.
